The pump’s extra large strainer pot has a comfort grip lid for quick access to the strainer basket. Each motor includes a stainless steel shaft. Helps your undergravel filter stay cleaner and operate more efficiently. This kit converts any Penguin Powerhead to reverse flow. Allows filtered, oxygen-rich water to be pumped down through your lift tube and underneath the undergravel filter plate. Bacteria are encouraged to grow from the bottom up, where it’s less likely to be disturbed, while debris in the gravel are pushed into the tank where your filter can remove it. Also great as a prefilter on a powerhead used for circulation. Only for use with Penguin Powerheads, not included.
