The Red Spotted Pseudochromis originates from the reefs of the Indian Ocean, and is a beautiful addition to any saltwater aquarium. Its pale body and fins are adorned with beautiful red spots, which create a lined pattern.
A 50-gallon or larger aquarium with many hiding places provides a good environment. This Pseudochromis should be housed with moderately aggressive fish larger than itself. Although it is an excellent reef fish, it may eat small ornamental shrimp.
As a carnivore, the Red Spotted Pseudochromis will thrive on a diet of meaty foods such as finely chopped fresh or frozen marine fish, squid, mysis shrimp, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, and frozen carnivore preparations.

The Dilectis Pseudochromis is also known as the Sri Lanka Dottyback, and originates from the reefs of Sri Lanka. They have an elongated, dark colored body, with beautiful white accents. They make a great addition to the saltwater fish only or reef aquarium.
The Dilectis Pseudochromis does well in a saltwater aquarium of at least 30 gallons with plenty of live rock for hiding places and for supplemental nutrition. It will tend to swim in the open after it has become acclimated to its new environment. Only house one of this species per aquarium, unless the aquarium is very large, and they are acclimated at the same time. They will not bother invertebrates, and are a great fish for the reef aquarium. They may also help control bristleworm populations in the aquarium.
The diet consists of meaty foods including; vitamin enriched brine and mysis shrimp, chopped fish and a quality flake food.
